Calm Weather to Start Week

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Anyone else think that Presidents Day should be the day after the Super Bowl to aide in recovery?  I would have to think that tomorrow is one of the least productive work days in the year.  Anyway there is some light snow flying around this morning especially close to the close.  Temperatures are chilly, but we are not approaching the cold of two weeks ago.  There will be a chance of some light snow on Wednesday and then eyes will turn to system on Friday.  As of now it looks like a rain to snow type event.  At the very least the Mountains will get crushed with a foot plus.  We will need to watch the trends but the EURO has consistently had a storm either over SE MA or near the benchmark.

These light snow showers will linger along the coast for much of the day.  I'm not expecting much accumulation but the RAP sees the potential for some

Monday and Tuesday will be similar.  Highs will reach about 30 with partly to mostly sunny skies.  Overnight lows will drop to the low teens.  By Wednesday another disturbance will be passing by.  As of now it looks like another one of these light dusting snowfalls.  The Wednesday disturbance will allow for temperatures to moderate closer to 40 for Thursday.

My eyes will be watching the progression and the trends for Friday.  Here is the EURO Friday night at 7

With the high pressure over the top this may be the storm that finally breaks the trend.  More on this storm later.  Go 49ers
