The Storm Prediction Center issued a bulletin highlighting the chance of thunderstorms this afternoon in Eastern New England.

SPC MCD 0934 |
Right on cue...thunderstorms popping along the brown boundary line.
|
NWS Northeast Regional Radar |
A more recent scan shows a cluster of storms in Western Worcester County. These storms will be capable of heavy rain, frequent lightning, small hail, and gusty winds. A severe thunderstorm watch will likely be posted for NE MA, S NH, and ME.
The boundary will pass Worcester County first so any storms will be early and should be done by late afternoon. Eastern Maine will likely see the bulk of the severe weather today, but please be aware.
